5 Reasons To Live in Wilmslow

Although Wilmslow doesn’t fall under the umbrella of Greater Manchester it is easily close enough to be considered so. Popular with football players and reality TV stars it is only 11 miles from Manchester so an easy journey for anyone that needs to travel into Manchester regularly.

Transport Links

The great transport links that Wilmslow offers are definitely one of the reasons you should consider living in this Cheshire town. You might not realise it, but you can get a train direct to London Euston and reach the capital in just two hours.  If you are heading into Manchester, a train will get you to Manchester Piccadilly within 15 minutes, or jump onto the M56 and reach Manchester quickly by road too! Heading somewhere outside of the UK? Get to Manchester Airport in just 15 minutes.

Fantastic Places To Eat

One of the great things about this part of the country is the different choices you have for dining out. Of course, we would suggest checking with each of the establishments regarding their re-opening, but there is so much choice you shouldn’t struggle to find something to suit.

A popular choice is Easy Fish Co. which is the second restaurant the brand has opened in the local area. If you’re into tasty fish dishes that are impeccably sourced and incredibly cooked then this could well be the choice for you.

If you’re looking for somewhere that the whole family can enjoy then head to Wood Fire Smoke – it’s laid-back and often full of large tables of friends and family enjoying their delicious pizza. Their dips are incredible and needed for their large crusts so make sure you order a couple to go with your pizzas – you won’t regret it!

Fancy a bit of celeb spotting? Cibo is popular amongst footballers, Love Islanders, and Real Housewives, so if you fancy somewhere a bit luxury where you might spot a familiar face or two then we would recommend here.

There is a whole host of other choices for food in the local area. Indian food from Eastern Revive always goes down well, or you could opt for Thai food from Chilli Banana, perfect if you’re looking for food with a bit of a kick.

There are plenty of places to walk and stretch your legs too. Head to the river and you’ll find thick woodland to walk through all the way from Twinnie’s Bridge to Quarry Bank Mill.
