What’s To Love About Altrincham?Everything!

We might be biased, but we love Altrincham. It’s one of those places that offers a little bit of everything. If you’re looking to relocate to the North West, then this could well be the place for you and here’s why…

It’s The Best Place To Live in the UK

Earlier this year Altrincham was awarded the accolade of “The Best Place to Live in the UK” by The Sunday Times.  The yearly report ranks cities and towns throughout the UK by several categories including, house prices, transport, air quality, schools, and access to digital services. When the Sunday Times compiled the list this year they put Altrincham in First place!

In the report that praised Altrincham for being both child and dog friendly. It also scored highly for being close to both the Cheshire countryside and Manchester, as well as having the two best schools in the North West.

Places to Eat

There are some wonderful places to eat in Altrincham and the local area. Italian places Sugo Pasta Kitchen or Dai Noi Restaurant are both popular. You could try something different and opt for Lebanese on Oxford Road at the Yara Restaurant.  Porta Tapas is a great choice and so is Angkor Soul. You can also visit a number of chain restaurants such as Pizza Express, or a traditional café such as the Oxford Road Café, which is actually located nearby on Ashley Road.

Shopping in this area ensures that everyone is well catered for. Altrincham Market is a really nice place to visit and helped to spark the rejuvenation that the local area has seen over recent years. With a large range of independent food and drink retailers, there is no real surprise that up to 10,000 people visit every week.
